February Photo Album

In February, our septic was installed, foundation was dug, rough-in plumbing went in, radiant heat tubing was placed, and the foundation and slab was poured. Whew! Check out our progress and some of the people who are helping us realize our dream. February was a busy month. Check out the progress!

After the footers were dug, the concrete company came out and set the stakes so the plumbers could do their thing. The following pictures tell the story.

This is a picture of Elaine and Richard from Desert Women Plumbing setting up our rough-in plumbing. We have two plumbing runs in our slab- black water for the toilets, and a gray water line for the sinks, tubs and washing machine.

Here's the pad, prepared and ready after the guys from Empire Concrete set it up.

We laid out the radiant floor tubing ourselves after instruction from our building consultant, Jon Ruez. It was fun, and it will help give us nice warm feet in the winter.

We awoke at 6:00 am on February 19 to the sound of cement trucks. This is one of the first trucks dumping mud on the pad at about 6:30 (which is why the picture looks that way).

Here's the slab, scored and beautiful. These guys really worked hard, and result is nice. After we're done with most of the interior work some months from now, we'll give it an acid wash stain and sealer. For now its gray.

Check back next month for pictures of the March 25 wall raising.
